It's A Girl! Let's Talk Nursery!
It's been quite a year for the Short family. In January Jeremy accepted a position at his former job in Tahlequah. February 1st we were completely moved in and had painted three rooms.
Shortly after in early March, for my birthday, we adopted a sweet fur baby who we named Rizzo.
In mid March I surprised Jeremy by telling him we are going to have a baby! The Short family is growing!
After discovering that we are going to be parents I realized that it also means that I get to decorate a nursery! Prior to this I hadn't thought twice about ever decorating a nursery. This is all new territory for us, but we are so excited for this new chapter! Of course we had to wait until we found out the gender before starting on the nursery. I don't think I've ever been so impatient in my entire life.
Jeremy and I both thought it would be a boy. We had already discussed names and narrowed it down to a couple of options. So, after impatiently waiting and cleaning the house numerous times, the day finally came to have our gender reveal and...
SURPRISE!!!!!
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!
Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised that we are having a baby girl! Although I was through the roof thrilled, In my mind, I was set on a baby boy. I even came up with a computer mock up of how I wanted the nursery to look.
It took a few days, several paint swatches and paint tests on the wall, but once I got an idea for what I wanted to do Jeremy couldn't paint the room fast enough!
We are still working on putting everything together but I wanted to share our progress so far. Are you surprised by the color?
I know, I know, it's blue/gray... for a girl nursery, but I think you will like the outcome that I have in mind. Can't wait to see the finished product!
I will keep you guys updated on our progress! Thanks for reading!
