THIS KITCHEN IS MAKING A COME BACK

The kitchen is always the gathering place in a home. It being Easter weekend, I hope that you have a great Easter Sunday celebrating Jesus and enjoy family time together. This little tiny kitchen of ours that I grew up with has served many meals to many people. Our family gatherings usually revolved around this tiny kitchen. No matter how hard we tried you just can’t beat mom’s cooking. Outdated as this kitchen was, we’ve sure had some good times and great food. However, now that it is my kitchen, it’s time for some changes.

Here are some before pictures for you.

I don’t care who you are, painting cabinets has got to be the worst job ever! Especially when you want your cabinets white and they are currently dark green. We are working on bringing our Kitchen back from the….? You know I am not sure what era you would date this kitchen. My mom’s favorite colors were purple and green. She didn’t think it best to paint the entire house purple so she went with green, dark green. Naturally, me being the total design opposite of my mom I want white cabinets. Covering those cabinets seems to be a never ending project but we are getting closer so I thought I would give you guys an update.

Our Progress

Haven’t finished yet but we are making headway! We will be getting new counter tops and new flooring but we have to be patient, they cannot install the counter tops for a few more weeks. I will give you guys another update soon!

My husband and I have gotten into this routine where if we hear a loud bang or smack we yell “You Okay!?” So far we have found that we work best when we divide and conquer but that usually means we paint ourselves in a corner of different rooms, or we get caught up in a project that we can’t move from. So, if you are our neighbor and you hear us yelling, I apologize. We are just making sure the other is okay.
