NEW FLOORS WITH A TOUCH OF NAVY
Brand New Floors and Bedding!
My husband and I stayed up late last night so that we could get the master bedroom semi finished! This room will change a bit when we get all of our furniture out of storage. The floors before were a yellow tone linoleum faux wood. We redid the floors and now have pretty dark stained floors! I love the dark stain against the light colored walls! That with the white trim seemed to contrast pretty well. Then, of course, after the floors were finished I could see the finish line, then made Jeremy take me shopping for decorative items to make this room look like a bedroom.
This room has always been a multipurpose bedroom. It has always been my room but my room has also been an office, homework area, workout room, play room, sewing room and storage. It’s so nice to see this room be what it was intended to be, a nice master bedroom.
Here are some before pictures from my older posts so that you can remember what it once was.
After countless splinters, hours of ripping out built-ins, puttying walls, painting walls, laying floors down and adding some window treatments, we finally got to the point of putting furniture in here and making it pretty, which is my favorite part of this whole process.
Here is a good before and after shot for you to compare. What do you think of the navy blue accents?
Our next project is to put down the new floors in the living room and start remodeling the kitchen. Wish us luck!
