THE TULSA VINTAGE SHOW

THE TULSA VINTAGE SHOW

Snaps of the crafts

So this past weekend my world was forever changed! If you are anything like me I love finding special unique pieces for a great price! And that is exactly what happened!

The "Tulsa Vintage Show" had over 100 vendors and tons and tons of cool items! From furniture, classic model cars, 60's magazines, wall art, to an impressive amount of baseball memorabilia, they had it all! Like anywhere else, some things were over priced and others were a steal. So my strategy.. (which drives my husband crazy) Is to look at absolutely everything, see what everyone has and look at prices as you go (I take pictures). If you adore this small little trunk that a vendor has, most likely several vendors have even more adorable items that you can't pass up on. So don't spend all of your money on the first cute thing you see!

One of my pet peeves, is that I find something I like and purchase it, then find the exact same thing for a discounted price. I have had many years of shopping experience to say it's best to look around first. It may take longer to find a good deal, but it's typically always worth it. Plus it just means you can shop more and I don't ever see a problem with that.

Back to the antique show. This is a company that travels to several different states and locations to put this huge event on. They had something for everyone. The top picture is a picture I took of one of my favorite booths there. If you are a fan of the "farmhouse look" you would have loved it too. I went the first day they were open then brought my husband back with me Sunday and he even enjoyed himself! He hates going to antique stores with me and shopping in general but he does love baseball and really anything sports related so this next booth was right up his alley.

They had old jerseys, banners, stadium seats, kids jerseys, and even signed baseballs in this booth! My husband was in heaven! I thought we were going to come home with a stadium seat for a minute but fortunately I lucked out on that one. No idea where we'd put it.

They will be having another show coming up on Labor Day weekend! So you know where I will be! Also another tip I have for attending this awesome show! Pick up business cards so that you can follow them on facebook or instagram! I found out that one of booths that I saw that I loved isn't too far from where I live! So I will be making a small road trip soon!

My purchases consisted of three wooden boxes to hang on the wall, an old wooden tool tray, an old ceiling tile, a laundry sign and an absolutely beautiful wardrobe that I cannot stop looking at! Now earlier I told you that you have to go through the entire place before buying anything... Well sometimes you just know. The wardrobe was one of those circumstances. Here are some pics of my purchases.

I bought three of these to hang on my wall. I loved the rustic feel of these and I intend to place them on the wall to use as shelves along with my collage of mirrors!

This old tin ceiling tile I will repaint white and frame it in wood so that I can hang it on the wall. Because it is metal I can also put little magnets on it to use as a to-do board which I will use in my craft

room!

This antique tool tray I haven't decided if it will go in the living room for some decoration or if I will nail it to a wall and use it as a towel rack in the bathroom.. TBD

This however has an obvious placement. The laundry room that we now have in our new house is almost a sun room because of all the windows. It will most likely go over the windows, or go over the rod where we hang clothes to dry.

Last but certainly not least in the slightest! this beautiful wardrobe!!! I cannot get enough of it!!! I love the detail on the top and on the doors. Love the rustic white. In our new house we don't have as much closet space as we use to. I haven't ever considered a wardrobe before until I saw this beauty and it made so much sense! And was such a great price I couldn't pass it up! Can you be in love with a piece of furniture?
